Changing banks is never easy. Letting all of the outstanding checks clear and moving everything to a new bank account can be a real hassle but sometimes it is nessecary. When we moved cross country, my bank was not located anywhere in California so I decided to change banks. During this time I discovered that other banks were offering less fees and more insentives that, otherwise, I would never have known about. I did some homework and found a bandk that offered free checking with no hidden fees for too many checks. Sometimes change can be welcom after so many years with the same bank.
