Home Brewing 101
You’ll need a primary fermenter, a bottling bucket, a sanitizer, airlock, siphon hose, hydrometer, thermometer, shutter clamp and bottle filler. Don’t forget that you’ll also need plenty of empty beer bottles to transfer your beer to once it’s fermented for long enough, as well as a bottle brush and an auto-siphon to transfer the beer without contaminating it.It goes without saying that you’ll also need an instruction booklet as well as all of the necessary ingredients to make the Beer itself. The basic ingredients are water, yeast, malted grains (or malt extract) and hops, and more experienced home brewers can add extra ingredients to the beer such as fruits, herbs or spices to create new and unique beer flavours.
