One of the most diverse families of tropical fish are the cichlids. An amazing range and variety of form, cichlids are the total favourite for many fish keeper hobbyists. Maybe you are into keeping south american cichlids like kribensis and rams. Or you may enjoy caring for north american cichlids, which are often larger and full of personality. I prefer cichlids from lake malawi and lake tanganyika which are fascinating. These include leleupi, frontosa, loads of wonderful mbuna such as the famous (and often reneamed) zebra mbuna.
