Kids are fun because they have amazing imaginations.

One of my favorite kids is my niece, Jodi. She loves dolls and has a world-class Barbie collection. But she is not contented to just dress Barbie the way her creator intended.

Jodi uses her mother’s sewing scraps and makes tiny little bargain Halloween costumes for Barbie each year.

She has made her a princess, wrapped in silk, a dancing girl, with flowing skirt, and, of course, a ghost.

I hope Jodi is still having fun making Halloween costumes when she gets older; and I especially hope she will keep her sense of fun and creativity long after she outgrows her Barbie stage.
