Don’t be fooled: dog obedience training is not that difficult and it doesn’t require extensive experience with dogs. Dog training is really about strengthening your relationship with your dog, and you’re both up for that, right? Just because you’re working together, though, doesn’t mean you’re not in charge. Your dog wants you to be in charge, so start acting like the boss. You need to be clear, firm, and assertive in your commands. If you use a commanding voice, they will listen to your commands. Don’t repeat yourself, and don’t beg them to follow the command. Those are the two most common reasons dogs don’t listen to their human caregivers.
