When it comes to using an oral irrigator, the Hydro Floss may be the best around.   Oral irrigation can be helpful in keeping your periodontal or gum tissue healthy. 

These devices have been around for a while and many, but not all, dentists or periodontists like them. 

I think that anything that is going to do a good job at helping you to keep your gum tissue healthy is worth a lot!  Because keeping your teeth is important.  Think of all the denture work that you would have to have done. While an irrigator may be part of the solution, it is not the whole part.
