My partner and I are starting up a new business. We’ve both worked in marketing companies for several years now and we’re branching out where we think the money and business is going to grow. We’re starting our own version of web analytics services.  My partner has written several analytical software programs that we think will revolutionize the business.  My father has agreed to back us as a silent partner for the first couple of years and then we’ll take another look at things. I’m hoping we’ll be able to buy him out as a partner before then, but I don’t want to appear ungrateful.
