I’ve been contemplating the purchase of a Suzuki scooter of late, and I’ve looked at my alternatives, including looking into several regional scooter dealers.

The cost of these little two-wheeled monsters seems to fluctuate wildly depending on the size and model, which is to be expected accounting for the wide range of sizes available. The fluctuation between large and small models is bigger than the disparity between a Escalade and a Swift.

Also like purchasing a car, prices of motor scooters seem to depreciate quickly after leaving the lot. What makes this interesting is that most scooters don’t get used nearly as much as a car, especially the less powerful moped models.

The silver lining in that cloud is that it is relatively painless to buy motorcycle scooters online through a third-party dealer or broker. Considering this, I have to ask if scooters from the dealership are competitively priced or if that’s one of the reasons why these online brokers are becoming increasingly popular.
