The Northeast Iowa tourism could use a shot in the arm. The tourist trade in that part of the state has been in decline for quite a while now and no one seems to have any idea as to how to turn it around. Several ideas have been batted around but not a one of them has been implemented, mostly because people don’t think the cost is worth the risk. Until someone comes up with an inexpensive attraction or a cheap way to advertise it is likely to be in decline for quite a few years. That could affect the economy of the entire region.
